Yes! Perfect for any gift, we have reloadable gift cards that never expire.  Add a Carte Blanche gift bag and tissue paper for $2. Note: gift cards are treated like cash,  if lost or stolen we cannot replace or refund them.

As of 2021 we require a valid Credit Card to reserve your booking. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a cancellation charge of $20 for services less than $100 (per person) and $50 for services more than $100. All group bookings require a Credit Card and deposit to reserve a booking.

 It is not recommended to bring children under the age of 6 to the spa, however well-behaved children are accepted in the spa on the less busy days such as Sunday and Monday. We offer kid's manicure & pedicure for children 12 and under. We do not perform any Spa Medical services on kids under the age of 18, and eyelash extensions, eyelash tinting, lash or brow lamination, and any gel nails we do not perform on kids under 16 years of age. For those previously mentioned services, kids between 16 and 18 years old require a guardian present at the appointment. It should also be noted that any polish or shellac cannot be guaranteed on any kid under the age of 18 as the nail beds are not fully developed and may not hold the product.

We offer spa packages, ranging from $125-$200. Spa Packages are discounted up to 25% off regular priced individual services. Packages are priced per person and cannot be split between clients and all services must be done on the same day. 

 All facials, microblading, laser and spa medical treatments are required to fill out a questionnaire. Should you arrive late, time will be deducted from the service and/or the service may not be able to be performed. Cell phone use is not allowed in the spa we try to keep a quiet atmosphere and to not disturb other guests.  

*UPDATE* Regarding Covid-19: We are following all recommended protocols and guidelines provided by Ottawa Public Health.  Our staff are trained on up-to-date sanitation and disinfection methods within our industry and we take cleanliness and sanitation very seriously. Implements in our spa are cleaned and sanitized in a chemo-sterilant solution of 7% hydrogen peroxide (PREemtpt cS20) for the appropriate amount of time between each client. Pedi basins are 100% stainless steel and are cleaned with lysol solution and sprayed with PREempt RTU for sanitization. 

For most of our waxing we use a creamy soft-wax with cotton strips. Our soft wax is gentle and effectively removes hair.  We have one esthetician who uses hard-wax which does not use any strips/does not pull as much on the skin. This is great for extremely sensitive skin as it doesn't remove any of the top layer of dead skin, only the hair. Hard-wax is only used on the face, underarm and bikini areas. If you would prefer hard-wax please specify upon booking.

YES! We are happy to host events and group bookings such as bridal parties and birthdays. Groups of 5 or more get the Spa essentially to themselves and are welcome to bring decorations and catering. Group rates are also available.

Similar to Olaplex,  "Wellaplex" is already in our colour line and all our shampoos/conditioners. Additionally if you're looking to add a treatment to strengthen your hair from the inside out, we offer Kerastase Fusiodose treatments, which include a wash and treatment for $35 + tax. Cut & blowdry would be extra.

Happy with your service? Gratuities are welcome and  given at your discretion. Please note all gift cards and packages do not include gratuities.

No,  our Estheticians are fully trained in Relaxation and Hot Stone massage,  but we do not have Registered Massage Therapists on staff.

At Carte Blanche we provide our clients and staff with a safe, chemical free atmosphere. We do NOT do Acrylic nails or use gel with any strong smell or chemical.  We use Bio-Sculpture Gel which is a natural based 100% gel product. Safe for your nails,  it offers 5x the strength of your natural nails,  can be filled every 3-4 weeks and is soaked off for removal. Extensions (adding length) can be done and are sculpted one by one with sculpting gel (requires a minimum of 2mm of free edge for extensions to hold) OR we have Bio-Tip Extensions which are full cover nail tips and can be applied onto any length of healthy nail bed. OPI Gel Colour (gel polish, like Shellac) is also offered and can last up to two weeks.

Prices are located in our "Services" section.  Note: If you currently have acrylic or gel nails on from another spa we kindly ask that you remove them there before booking with us. We do not use drills and cannot remove acrylics and certain types of gels.

If you are unhappy with a product you purchased with us (excluding styling tools), and the product is at least half full, we will gladly exchange the product or issue a gift card for the amount paid for the product within 30 days of purchase. We do not offer refunds on products purchased.
